Bike Ride

Hola bones gents!
This weekend we rode (like some kind of modern cowboys) all across the Côte d'Azur. Of course it was not me who drove but Jose (you can find his pictures some posts before). My friend's bike is a beautiful and reliable machine, a Suzuki Bandit 600S wich I fell in love with. So I think i'm going to pass the examination for the motorbike driving license (I don't think I could with only one month left in Spain). The problem was the helmet Jose gave me...it was old and it hasn't a visor so my eyes soaked in tears all the trip and my face was cold as ice.

We arrived at Èze, a nice village in the top of a hill by the sea. It's a small town with small streets and a magnificient views over the Mediterranean Sea. Unhappyly most of the best views are only visibles only from the Exotic Garden, and the Golden Goat Hotel (I don't remember the name exactly, but since they have a golden goat in the roof I think it's a good name...). I managed to get some pictures (I was hanging like an acrobat to get these pictures, so please be kind...).

In this small town there are a lot of VIP's appartments (not mine...yet) for example Bono, the singer of U2, not the spanish parlament president. All those hills with little villas over the sea are really common all along the way until Monaco. And all the views I saw while we where riding were beautifull. We were also at La Turbie from where I took some pictures of Monaco and Montecarlo. These cities are not bigger than Corbera and Riola (my parents' place) together but surely there are more money there than in half of Spain:

On the way back we also could have some great landscapes, and we could saw the Cap Ferrat. It's a pity that we didn't had enought time to visit all those small towns because they looked very beautiful, with his small ports and yatch. But also with old buildings and a lot of things to see...
Right now I am in Barcelona...see you in next post!

Back to Côte d'Azur

Bonjour!

Barcelona I

Holas sapos y princeses!
How are you? Last friday I saw an architecture masterpiece...one of the most impressive buildings I've ever seen. The Sagrada Familia of Gaudi. Wow...when i saw it for the first time I said that: wow...I don't remember if it was this word exactly, or something like: "Ei collò! i l'hostia quanta pedra!!!!" (wich means: ohhh! what a great amount of stones...more or less). I always have known Sagrada Familia only by postcards, but being there standing in front of the gate, was different. Gaudi was a genius. But this is something that everybody knows. You can also visit La Pedrera, Casa Milà, Casa Batllò, etc...these are buildings designed by him..

I could't took any picture because It was night and there's no flash that can light all the building...but i have to go there again by daylight, and you'll see my pictures here in your favourite blog (or not...). Here you have a picture of the Museum of modern art of Barcelone, and one of a little street near the Cathedral.

Anyway, I went with some friends to watch Barcelona by night. We met at the Spain Square's Fountain, also know as the singing fountain. And from there we went to Sagrada Familia and we try to get to the Agbar's Building. But after some minutes walking, we relaized we got lost (it wasn't my fault...i was the only one who was visiting Barcelona for the first time...), so we decided to go to eat and drink sangria (typical spanish...y olé!). We went to the end of the Ramblas to dinner in a typical tapa's bar. Unhappily no flamenco, no guitar concert...but good sangria anyway (not as good as mine of course...). If we had been in Valencia, I now of a few flamenco bars, we could have been. We stayed a little in that bar talking and drinking sangria. After dinning, we came back home, because I had to fly to Nice quite early. I'll explain in the next post that flight. See you!

Back Home (for a weekend)

Hello everybody!
This weekend I was in Valencia. Land of Fallas, oranges, paella y olé...
I was with my family, it means that I ate well. This time was fideuà, it's a kind of paella with seafood and noodles instead of rice. Delicious (thanks dad!). Of course when I arrived at Barcelona my weight had increased...nevermind I'll go to the gym again. I went out to some bars of my town to remember Sueca by night and I saw a lot of people that I haven't seen for a long time. It was quite...sympa.

One thing I didn't like of my town, is that in some bars smoking is still allowed. Few minutes after you entered and you smell like a cigarette. It's a pity because I like the pubs of Sueca. Some of them are the bests pubs I ever entered (Hod Rod for example). And being in Sueca (25000 hab.) is not the same that being in one big city, so the prices are really cheap (I'm used to the prices of Paris...).
Well, I will continue talking about my town and its nightlife in other post. See you!

Bon dia!

Bon dia gentola diversa!
De momento tampoco he salido mucho.

By night

Ate logo!

Beautiful Nice

Hello everybody! This are a few photos I took from Nice last weekend. From the Promenade, and the Castle. Beautiful views, but a little hard to get there (lots of stairs...). Even if it was almost winter the weather was quite good, and a lot of people were swimming. I ate Socca, the Nice's typical pancake, made of pea's flour (farine de pois chiche...)

The port is also amazing...not for the port itself, but for the Luxe and all the Yatch I found there...it's well know that all the celebrities got an appartment there, so why not an appartment and a Yacht. I think that one single yacht there is more expensive that all the ship fleet of Cullera's harbour and El Perello together (Que trist es ser pobre collons!)

My conclussion after the visit it was quite simple...Nice is nice (I know I use this joke often...)
Another day I'll talk about Nice by night. Next week i move to Barcelone, but i hope to go out my last night with Jose and Alain (VIE Mexico). See you!

Bon Sejour a Carros

Disfrutad!
